About the position

The Shotcrete Helper position at Massachusetts Solar, Inc. involves assisting in the application of shotcrete for swimming pool construction. This role is temporary, requiring physical labor and the ability to work long hours, including some Saturdays. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and includes various benefits related to transportation and subsistence.

Responsibilities

• Tend machines that pump concrete (shotcrete) through spray hose for application to walls and floor of swimming pools.
• Position or dismantle forms for spraying concrete/shotcrete using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and be alert for long periods of time.
• No education or experience required.

Benefits

• Daily transportation to/from worksite provided at no charge.
• Optional employer-provided shared housing available at approximately $30 per week, payroll deducted if worker elects.
• Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work after completing 50% of the employment contract period.
• Return transportation and subsistence costs covered upon completion of the work contract or early dismissal.
• Daily subsistence provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel, up to a maximum of $59 per day with receipts.
• Reimbursement for visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees in the first work week.
