About the position

The Show Support Crew/Technician position at Strictly FX is designed to provide essential support in the preparation and maintenance of special effects equipment for live events. This role is primarily based in the shop with minimal travel requirements and focuses on ensuring that all equipment is in optimal condition for use during shows. The position is initially offered as a contract role with the potential to transition to a full-time employee based on performance after 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of special effects equipment, including pyrotechnics, lasers, and other effects.
• Perform routine checks and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Support the loading and unloading of equipment for events and shows.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
• Assist with inventory management and tracking of equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure successful execution of special effects.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in a technical or support role, preferably within the special effects or live events industry.
• Basic knowledge of special effects equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed.
• Willingness to adhere to company policies and safety standards.
