About the position

The Showroom Design Consultant is responsible for providing personalized design consultations to customers in a window covering store. This role involves understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and helping them visualize the aesthetic and functional aspects of window treatments and wallpapers. The ideal candidate should have a passion for interior design and excellent communication skills to deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and welcoming customers, understanding their requirements, and establishing a rapport with them.
• Conduct thorough design consultations with customers to determine their window covering and wallpaper needs, preferences, and budget.
• Offer expert advice on window treatment options, considering privacy, light control, energy efficiency, and aesthetics.
• Present various product samples, including window coverings and wallpaper designs, patterns, and color swatches to customers.
• Collaborate with customers to create customized window covering and wallpaper solutions that align with their style preferences and functional requirements.
• Create visual representations of proposed window treatments and wallpaper installations, demonstrating different design concepts.
• Provide accurate product information, including pricing, features, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate with the sales team and other store personnel to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in window coverings, wallpapers, and interior design to offer valuable insights to customers.
• Assist with maintaining the showroom, including organizing product displays and keeping the design consultation area clean.

Requirements

• Experience in interior design or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent design sense and a creative eye for color, patterns, and textures.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and a passion for delivering an outstanding shopping experience.
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Flexibility to work during retail hours, including weekends.
• A degree or certification in interior design or a related field is desirable, but not mandatory.
