Shred Truck Operator

About the position

The Shred Truck Operator at DeVries Business Services is responsible for delivering shredding services and documents while maintaining a positive company image. This role involves operating company vehicles, loading and unloading shred trucks, and assisting with warehouse projects, all while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce the positive image of DEVRIES while delivering documents and shredding services.
• Work closely with customer support staff, sales department, and other associates.
• Load and unload shred trucks.
• Deliver documents and services in a professional, reliable, and safe manner.
• Operate company vehicles and delivery-related tools in accordance with safety policies.
• Assist in various warehouse projects as requested by management.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and vehicle.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Pre-employment DOT physical exam, DOT drug testing, and clean background check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Ability to lift file boxes and shred bags weighing up to 90 pounds and roll shred bins in and out of buildings.
• Genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.
• Capable of completing training to receive forklift operator's certification.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience driving a 24-foot delivery truck or similar vehicle preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
