About the position
The position involves operating a Peterbilt Tractor and Ottawa for transporting products between the Mix Plant and Granite Point Warehouse. The role requires flexibility for overtime and weekend work, with a shift differential for night hours. The driver is responsible for maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, and completing necessary documentation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment daily
- Inspect tractor and trailers before use and document
- Drive at proper speed, look out for pedestrians and obey all traffic laws
- Log all trips and mileage
- Transport loaded trailers between the Mix Plant and Granite Point Warehouse
- Maintain cleanliness of tractor and trailers
- Complete all documentation completely & accurately
- Complete all training as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Class A CDL driver's license
- DOT certified
- 3 years driving experience
- 1-2 years warehouse experience
- Stand up forklift experience preferred but not required
- Able to communicate in English
- Ability to pass all DOT requirements
- Knowledge of all DOT Rules and Regulations
- Excellent awareness of surroundings/other employees
- Some knowledge of distribution center operations
