About The Position
The position involves performing shuttle functions using a non-articulated vehicle, which includes loading and unloading aircraft and vehicles, as well as sorting packages. The role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of logistics and transportation within the company. Employees in this position must be able to work effectively in a noisy operations environment and communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner. The job requires a constant state of alertness and adherence to safety protocols, as it is classified as a non-covered safety-sensitive position. Additionally, employees must be licensed for the type of equipment assigned to them and must successfully complete all basic and re-currency training as required by the company. The role is part-time, with working hours from Monday to Friday, specifically from 2 PM to 8 PM. The company emphasizes the importance of safety and compliance with federal regulations, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Employees must be able to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with appropriate equipment or assistance. The position also requires a medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations, ensuring that all employees are fit for duty and capable of performing their tasks safely.
