About the position
Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking Maintenance Electricians for an ongoing assignment in the Batesville, MS area. This position involves planning, installing, modifying, and repairing electrical systems and components in accordance with specifications and local electrical codes. The role operates on a 4-10 schedule, and candidates will be eligible for benefits and paid time off after three months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Construct, modify, or repair wire ways, wiring, fixtures, or equipment according to specifications and local electrical codes.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using hand and power tools.
- Pull wiring through conduit, splice, and connect wiring using hand tools.
- Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
- Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads.
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
- Detect and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
- Perform installations, repairs, and modifications according to NEC, NFPA70e, and local safety regulations.
- Conduct frequent safety inspections of work area, equipment, and tools to ensure compliance with safety programs.
- Work independently and foster positive work practices in a team environment.
- Analyze and resolve work problems while balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Electrician experience or a combination of completed apprenticeship/training program with experience.
- Obtain OSHA 10 card.
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
- Complete all safety and general job training as required by SIC.
- Training in NFPA70e is preferred.

- Experience with safety and quality processes and procedures.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and on uneven surfaces.
