About the position

The Sifting Services Analyst/Paralegal role at LegalSifter involves utilizing artificial intelligence and software to extract data from client contracts. This position is crucial in supporting the company's mission to streamline contract management and improve accessibility to legal services. The analyst will be responsible for organizing metadata from contracts, ensuring quality checks, and suggesting process improvements while adapting to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of the 'after you sign' business, including AI and software used by LegalSifter.
• Support LegalSifter by organizing opportunities through sifting metadata from client contracts using AI-enabled software.
• Sift metadata for multiple client engagements for the LegalSifter Organize Concierge service.
• Extract simple concepts from contracts such as titles, party names, notice addresses, and governing law.
• Adapt to changing priorities and assignments as directed by the VP of Sifting Services.
• Split PDF documents as needed.
• Quality check the work of other team members.
• Suggest process improvements to the Sifting Services Leadership Team.
• Train other team members as required.

Requirements

• Minimum education of an associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or Paralegal certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong reading comprehension, communication, and typing skills.
• Ability to stay organized while managing multiple projects.
• Familiarity or experience with LegalTech solutions is strongly desired.

• Demonstrated ability to learn and sift advanced legal concepts such as limitation of liability, assignment, change of control, force majeure, intellectual property, warranties, and confidentiality.
• Self-starter capable of working independently or within a team.
