About the position
The Production Manager at Publi Signs Inc. is responsible for overseeing the entire printing process within the signage and printing company. This role involves planning, scheduling, and executing manufacturing operations to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The manager will coordinate workflow, manage personnel, and maintain customer relationships while staying updated on industry trends and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of all manufacturing operations within the plant.
- Oversee and manage the printing process from start to finish.
- Ensure all printing projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate the workflow of the production process.
- Evaluate and improve production processes for efficiency and quality.
- Maintain and improve customer relationships.
- Train and manage staff in production operations.
- Ensure compliance with quality and cost control standards.
- Liaise directly with the sales team regarding production needs.
Requirements
- Experience in production management within the signage and printing industry.
- Proficient in FlexiSignPro and Flexi SignPro Mutoh Edition design software.
- Familiarity with ArtCam Pro Software for 3D machining.
- Knowledge of Vertelith RIP Software for large format digital printers.
- Experience with Lightburn Software for laser cutters.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Experience operating multiple Mutoh XpertJet 1641SR Pro large format digital printers.
- Ability to operate Camtech CNC machine and Boss Laser Cutter.
- Experience with vinyl plotters and laminators.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software.
- Ability to read architectural drawings in English and French.
Nice-to-haves
- Fluency in French, both written and oral, is a huge asset.
- Basic carpentry and painting techniques.
