About the position
Stokes Sign Company is seeking a dedicated Sign Installer to join our installation crew. As a full-service sign company, we specialize in a wide range of sign installations, from plywood signs to illuminated channel letters. The ideal candidate will be a smart, positive, and solution-oriented individual who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role primarily involves outdoor work, so a willingness to work in various weather conditions is essential. In this position, you will represent Stokes Sign Company positively while driving a company vehicle to various installation locations. Your responsibilities will include the assembly and installation of both large and small signs in the field, which encompasses channel letters, vinyl lettering, metal and acrylic signs, banners, plywood, and wall wraps. Effective communication with customers before, during, and after installations is crucial to ensure satisfaction and clarity. You will also be required to operate bucket trucks and power tools, perform repairs on signs, and engage in painting tasks. Additionally, you will assist with various projects as needed, follow and enforce basic safety guidelines, and maintain a clean work area after each job. This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift weights between 60-120 pounds and perform activities that involve considerable use of your arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, digging, and handling materials.
Responsibilities
- Represent Stokes Sign Company positively.
- Drive company vehicle to install locations.
- Assembly and Installation of large and small signs in the field.
- Install channel letters, vinyl lettering, metal & acrylic signs, banners, plywood, wall wraps, etc.
- Communicate with customers before/during/after installation.
- Operate bucket trucks.
- Operate power tools.
- Repair signs.
- Painting.
- Assist with various projects as needed.
- Follow and enforce basic safety guidelines.
- Leave a clean work area.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Must have clean driving record
- Have reliable transportation to and from our Lakeway, Texas production facility.
- Be able to lift 60-120 pounds
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, digging, and handling materials.
- Work experience in a related field required (1 year)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 Year - Production
- 1 Year - Manufacturing
- 1 Year - Construction/Builder
- Sign experience is a PLUS
