The Surgical Technologist position at the Brighton Center for Specialty Care involves delivering exceptional care during surgical procedures by managing instruments, supplies, and equipment. The role requires collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure a sterile environment and effective operation. Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain the sterile field and anticipate the needs of the operating team.
• Review each case cart for correct instruments and supplies.
• Transfer instruments to CSR/Decontamination effectively.
• Demonstrate calmness and reliability while delivering excellent patient care.
• Multitask while focusing on the surgeons' needs for instrumentation and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or military Surgical Technologist program is required.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist for the Senior position.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer relations.
• Commitment to contributing to a positive department culture.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
• Ability to prioritize tasks quickly.
• Ambulatory experience and experience in a Pediatric setting for the Senior position.
• Proven ability to scrub spine, orthopedics, and other surgical procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Advanced Urology procedures, Otolaryngology, and recent experience in general surgery and gynecology.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization skills.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist certification program.
