About the position

FASTSIGNS #190501 is hiring for a Sign Production Specialist/Installer to join our team! The role involves following layouts to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic images on various substrates, preparing substrates for vinyl application, and performing quality assurance measures. The position also includes responsibilities for offsite installations and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered
• Clean and maintain storage areas
• Responsible for all offsite sign and print media installations
• Assess an environment for the needs and techniques of the installation
• Review job requirements and verify measurements before starting
• Work independently and with other team members when required

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
• Clean driving record
• Proficiently uses hand and power tools

Nice-to-haves

• Scissor lift and bucket truck experience preferred but not required
• Experience installing a variety of signs and graphics preferred but not required
