About the position

The Signage Graphic Designer / Sign Production role at FASTSIGNS of St. Petersburg involves creating and producing high-quality signage graphics. Responsibilities

• Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output for printing and mounting.
• Complete or modify designs based on customer drawings or files.
• Determine size and arrangement of materials, select type styles, and arrange layouts based on production requirements.
• Inspect jobs for accuracy before output, ensuring correct materials and settings are used.
• Maintain a customer logo library and convert graphic files as needed.
• Follow layouts to apply computer-cut vinyl or graphics to substrates.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application, including cutting and cleaning.
• Weed excess vinyl from images and perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production.
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and mounting printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels and maintain storage areas.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of graphic design experience.
• Experience working for a sign company.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to prioritize jobs and work autonomously.
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
• Flexibility to perform physical tasks such as leaning over tables and applying vinyl.
