About the position

Meta is seeking a highly motivated and talented Silicon CAD Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This role involves working on cutting-edge technology and contributing to the development of innovative AR/MR silicon solutions. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain CAD infrastructure for silicon design teams, collaborating with various stakeholders to provide effective solutions and improve design efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain CAD infrastructure for silicon design teams.
  • Collaborate with silicon designers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to improve design efficiency and productivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CAD infrastructure, including hardware and software problems.
  • Participate in the development of best practices and standards for CAD infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in CAD infrastructure and silicon design.

Requirements

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • 1+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Unix Shell, TCL, and SQL.
  • Experience with CAD tools and methodologies, including design automation and verification.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Experience analyzing complex problems and identifying effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a team and with cross-functional partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and DevOps tools.
  • Knowledge of silicon design flows and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and Mercurial.
