About the position

The Silicon Validation Engineer III role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise focuses on the design, analysis, and validation of VLSI components and hardware systems. This position requires collaboration with a team of engineers to ensure the successful validation of network ASIC designs through various stages, including test design, emulation, and hardware testing. The role emphasizes technical expertise, project leadership, and mentoring of junior staff, contributing to the development of high-quality validation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical expertise to a project team of silicon validation engineers and development partners responsible for all stages of network ASIC design and validation.
  • Handles emulation model design and development, high-level test planning, test writing, execution, triage, and debugging on emulators and hardware systems.
  • Collaborates and communicates with management and internal partners regarding validation status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Represents the team for all phases of larger and more complex ASIC validation projects.
  • Participates as an independent member of project teams to develop high-quality validation solutions for network ASICs.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.
  • Working knowledge of VLSI principles, digital logic, computer architecture, and/or HPC networking concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Experience in designing validation tests for ASICs.
  • Working knowledge of Python programming and Bash scripting, hardware description language, emulators, and/or FPGA tools.
