About the position

The Sr. Sales Representative at Simon, a subsidiary of Colas USA, is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for aggregate and asphalt products in various construction applications. This role focuses on building and maintaining customer relationships to enhance the company's market share in local markets, while adhering to safety and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace the Company's safety culture and support all safety initiatives.
  • Promote and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; adhere to established policies.
  • Engage with contractors, government agencies, engineering firms, and municipalities to develop sales to new and existing accounts.
  • Work closely with site operations to ensure customer needs are met while pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers to enhance Simon's reputation as a supplier of choice.
  • Develop sales strategies in collaboration with all functional business units to achieve goals.
  • Conduct financial, product, market, and operational research to support strategic business planning.
  • Consult with clients and internal staff to formulate estimates and resolve issues; provide quotes and monitor bid processes.
  • Establish points of contact for assigned projects between the company and clients.
  • Read and interpret plans and proposals to prepare bid quotes as required.
  • Track and analyze business unit and market trends and make recommendations.
  • Regularly visit project sites to gather information for customer quotes.
  • Forecast and plan for sales volumes; make recommendations regarding production targets and strategy.
  • Partner with operations and production staff to schedule customer deliveries and resolve client concerns.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure products meet customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business management, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving history required.
