About the position

The Sr. Sales Representative at Simon is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for aggregate and asphalt products across various construction sectors. This role focuses on building and maintaining customer relationships to enhance the company's market share in local markets, while adhering to safety and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace the Company's safety culture and support all safety initiatives.
  • Promote and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; adhere to established policies.
  • Engage with contractors, government agencies, and municipalities to develop sales in assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with site operations to meet customer needs and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships to enhance Simon's reputation as a supplier of choice.
  • Develop sales strategies in collaboration with functional business units to achieve goals.
  • Conduct research to support strategic business planning within the company.
  • Consult with clients and internal staff to formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Establish points of contact for assigned projects between the company and clients.
  • Read and interpret plans and proposals to prepare bid quotes.
  • Track and analyze market trends and make recommendations.
  • Regularly visit project sites to gather information for quotes.
  • Forecast and plan for sales volumes and make recommendations to production teams.
  • Partner with operations to schedule customer deliveries and resolve client concerns.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure product specifications are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving history required.
  • Prior experience in construction estimating, mining, manufacturing, or related industry required.
  • 3 years prior experience in sales account management or a related field required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with budgeting and production planning preferred.
