About the position

The Simulation Operator position at Wright Patterson Air Force Base involves supporting a global medical modeling and simulation training program for military healthcare teams. The role focuses on developing training materials, operating various simulation equipment, and ensuring effective training scenarios are executed based on participant actions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop curriculum, agendas, learning aids, and course documents.
  • Operate simulator equipment and adjust training scenarios based on participant actions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to obtain information and documents for simulator technical operations.
  • Operate and maintain task trainers, mannequin-based simulators, surgical simulators, computerized simulators, and virtual reality procedural trainers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the medical or military medical field or 2+ years of experience with the operation of patient simulation equipment.
  • 1 year of experience with a variety of medical simulation platforms (e.g., CAE, Laerdal, Gaumard, KGS, SynDaver/SynTissue, MOES).
  • Ability to complete a federal agency check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in a computer technology field (e.g., hardware, networking, helpdesk, etc.).
  • Certification as a Simulation Operator (CHSOS) through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) is preferred.
