About the position

The Simulator Instructor at Piedmont Airlines is responsible for providing safe and efficient training to new hire and current line pilots. This role involves instructing on aircraft systems, company policies, and procedures, while ensuring that training meets regulatory and company standards. The position requires a knowledgeable leader who can maintain training facilities and evaluate pilot progress, contributing to the overall excellence of the airline's training program.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and efficient training of new hire and current line pilots
• Instruct in aircraft systems, company policies and procedures, and other pilot-related subjects
• Monitor and evaluate the training progress of line pilots
• Maintain classrooms and other training facilities in a clean, neat condition
• Participate in the development and presentation of any special department or company training efforts
• Continuously review company, industry, government, and related publications to keep current on methods, procedures, policies, and regulations
• Prepare and maintain accurate, error-free training records and documentation
• Ensure course content and instruction meets regulatory and company requirements

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems and components
• Instructional developmental background
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Rating

Nice-to-haves

• Part 121 background with knowledge of Advanced Qualifications Programs (AQP) training
• Previous instructor experience
• Previous simulator instructor experience
• Associates or bachelor's degree
• Currently employed in a pilot or instructor position
• EMB 145 type rating
