About the position

The National Sales Manager for Singer Valve at Mueller Water Products is responsible for overseeing control valve sales across the U.S. and Canada. This role involves leading a team of Application Engineers, executing commercial strategies, and driving sales initiatives through various channels including manufacturer representatives and distributors. The position requires a strong focus on customer engagement, market analysis, and collaboration with internal teams to optimize growth and improve product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Singer Valve U.S. and Canada control valve sales.
• Lead a team of Application Engineers to support sales initiatives.
• Execute the commercial strategy for the Singer control valve product line.
• Provide technical assistance on products to the company and customers.
• Engage with sales teams to identify opportunities and plan training activities.
• Conduct monthly forecasting and tracking of proposals.
• Manage and conduct training at the training center and through mobile training van.
• Provide market feedback to sales, product management, engineering, and marketing teams.
• Identify potential markets and analyze strategies for growth.

Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years' sales management, marketing, or commercialization experience in valves, treatment plant, or water distribution.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or communications-related field.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and productivity tools such as Salesforce.com.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior direct sales management experience in the water/wastewater industry.
• Prior Control Valve Experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, water technology, etc.).
• Mechanical aptitude.
