About the position

The Single Family Third Party Reporting Manager at Freddie Mac plays a crucial role in the Single-Family Third Party Risk Governance (TPRG) team, focusing on the ongoing monitoring of Seller/Servicer activities. This position involves engaging with risk partners, developing risk aggregation approaches, establishing escalation criteria, and reporting on risk trends. The role requires a blend of analytical skills and business expertise to ensure that Seller/Servicers operate within the firm's risk tolerance while identifying emerging industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide insights into Seller Servicers' overall risk trends using quantitative and qualitative information.
• Develop subject matter expertise regarding Freddie Seller/Servicer risk and the Seller/Servicer Guide.
• Maintain and execute the Comprehensive Risk Rating for counterparties.
• Identify and maintain appropriate controls to ensure business strategies align with corporate risk appetite.
• Ensure processes are in place for awareness, monitoring, and responses to emerging risks or opportunities.
• Partner with Enterprise Risk Management and Enterprise Third Party Office on oversight reviews and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in operational risk management at a large financial services institution.
• 8+ years of relevant experience analyzing counterparty risk and/or mortgage products.
• 5+ years of mortgage industry or credit experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Tableau and PowerBI is preferable.
• Solid understanding of risk and the mortgage life cycle.
• Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written.
