About the position

The SIOP Manager is responsible for managing the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process across product categories, ensuring accurate demand forecasting and effective resource allocation. This role involves conducting capacity planning, facilitating monthly SIOP meetings, and collaborating with various teams to optimize production and sourcing plans while meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the aggregation of the demand plan process across product categories, producing a rolling 12-24 month estimate of unconstrained future demand in units.
  • Conduct rough cut capacity and scenario planning to validate and present data and analytics for decision making.
  • Establish and manage SIOP planning processes, ensuring Business Unit teams are trained and in place.
  • Create and implement operations planning processes to support Original Equipment and Aftermarket demand.
  • Develop, monitor, and revise production and sourcing plans to optimize resources while meeting customer needs.
  • Prepare data and material for monthly SIOP meetings to facilitate decisions around resources needed to support demand.
  • Assist in documenting assumptions in the demand and supply plan and validate past assumptions.
  • Utilize various ERP systems for replenishment and forecast implementation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly SIOP meetings to achieve demand plan consensus.
  • Achieve customer service order fulfillment objectives and cost savings through optimized manufacturing batch sizing.
  • Coordinate capacity and capabilities across internal sites to maximize resource utilization.
  • Develop support metrics, tools, and reporting for Manufacturing and Procurement teams.
  • Work closely with Sales and Product Development on planning for new products and solutions.
  • Evaluate inventory reports to identify slow-moving and obsolete inventories and develop disposition plans with the sales team.
  • Track performance metrics to identify opportunities and issues within S&OP processes and provide insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Manufacturing to evaluate demand/production plans against inventory and capacity.
  • Facilitate prioritizing demand and allocating supply when demand exceeds supply.
  • Identify significant business risks and escalate to leadership teams.
  • Ensure efficient communication across functional teams regarding trends and drivers.
  • Identify and implement supply chain initiatives to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Supply Chain, particularly in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning.
  • APICS Certification preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge and experience in Infor MRP and ERP systems, inventory management, and advanced supply chain planning.
  • Knowledgeable in lean principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment.
  • Effective communication skills with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • People management experience with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
