About the position

The SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) Manager at Kidde-Fenwal is responsible for leading and optimizing the SIOP processes across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting, combined with a strong ability to manage change and drive adoption across various teams. The SIOP Manager will develop, implement, and manage a sustainable and effective SIOP program that aligns cross-functional teams and ensures strategic business goals are met. This position reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain and has a significant impact on SIOP efficiencies and the overall financial and operational performance of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the SIOP process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts, supply planning, and company objectives.
  • Champion the SIOP process as a transformative change within Kidde-Fenwal, embedding it as a key operational function across all levels of the organization.
  • Drive the adoption of the SIOP process through effective communication, training, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead change management efforts related to SIOP implementation, guiding the organization through process transformation with minimal disruption.
  • Develop and execute a change management plan that includes communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, and training programs.
  • Build and manage a sustainable SIOP framework that can evolve with Kidde-Fenwal's growth, supporting both current operations and future business needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop accurate and sustainable demand forecasts.
  • Drive inventory optimization efforts, ensuring that inventory levels are well-managed to balance customer demand with working capital constraints.
  • Partner with leaders across sales, operations, finance, and engineering to align objectives and foster a culture of collaboration around the SIOP process.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to the SIOP process, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, and on-time delivery.
  • Lead training and development programs for SIOP and change management, ensuring that all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities within the process.
  • Leverage ERP and other supply chain tools to ensure efficient data management for demand forecasting, inventory planning, and production scheduling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in SIOP management, supply chain planning, or similar roles.
  • Extensive experience implementing and managing SIOP processes in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven track record in change management, with the ability to successfully drive organizational transformation and foster process adoption.
  • Strong background in demand forecasting, inventory management, capacity planning, and supply chain optimization.
  • Expertise in change management, with the ability to guide teams through significant process transformations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams towards a common goal.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decision-making.

Nice-to-haves

  • APICS CPIM, CPM, or similar supply chain certification is preferred.
