About the position

The Site Acquisition Project Manager is responsible for overseeing field inspections related to cable and fiber placement, splicing, and construction work. This role involves ensuring the quality and accuracy of in-home fiber broadband installations and managing the repair of buried service wire and distribution facilities. The position requires a strong understanding of OSP construction and design, as well as the ability to track and document project progress effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of cable/fiber placement and construction work.
• Complete in-home fiber broadband installations and repairs.
• Prepare data and documentation for reporting field results.
• Oversee contractor activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures.
• Track, monitor, and update databases on job status.
• Prepare work requests and verify change orders and invoices.
• Review documentation for completeness and accuracy before final submission.
• Ensure adherence to fiber broadband installation and activation quality standards.

Requirements

• Experience in OSP construction and design.
• Knowledge of underground and aerial utility construction.
• Ability to interpret engineering work prints and ROW documents.
• Familiarity with Outside Plant Safety and Quality Procedures (GO95, GO128).
• Proficient in tracking and monitoring project databases.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GPON & XGS testing and turn-up requirements.
• Knowledge of customer service practices during inspections.
