About the position

The Site Acquisition Consultant (SAC) is responsible for coordinating telecommunications site acquisition and leasing activities for new site builds in the New York City market. This role involves interfacing with various teams to ensure selected sites meet engineering, zoning, and construction requirements, as well as negotiating lease agreements and preparing necessary documentation for site approvals.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with RF Engineers, Zoning and Construction personnel to ensure selected sites meet requirements.
  • Assemble and submit a complete Site Candidate Package (SCIP) for client approval.
  • Procure zoning maps, parcel maps, street maps, and deeds for selected sites.
  • Coordinate and attend the Site Design Visit with RF, Zoning, and Construction Teams.
  • Review zoning and construction drawings, communicate necessary changes to A&E firm.
  • Negotiate lease agreements and ancillary easement agreements with landlords.
  • Procure landlord signatures on various agreements and documents.
  • Prepare zoning applications and attend public hearings and community meetings.
  • Prepare and submit all required permitting documents.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Ensure sites comply with all regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Participate in site meetings to ensure project alignment with forecasts.
  • Maintain understanding of project forecasts, budget, and site delivery timelines.
  • Adapt to new challenges as job requirements change.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of telecommunications site acquisition experience.
  • Experience in real estate leasing and municipal law surrounding land use and zoning/permitting.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to balance and organize multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment and within a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel.
