About The Position

The Site Assistant position is a part-time role that involves assisting at various sites with the attendance of students and completing various duties related to providing excellent student services. Responsibilities include site and material preparation, data entry, scheduling, student record keeping, managing the payment portal and program fees, and potentially coordinating the snack program. The Site Assistant may also back up for absent staff or the Site Coordinator, complete general administrative duties such as copying, faxing, and filing, and assist with student discipline under the supervision of the Site Coordinator. Additionally, the role may involve working on special projects assigned by the Site Coordinator and assisting with coaching and training of staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 48 College Units or 60 college quarter units
  • Ability to speak and write standard English appropriate in a public-school setting
  • Must clear TB and Fingerprint check (Livescan)
  • Must be available during school hours

Responsibilities

  • Assists Site Coordinator with scheduling and student check-in and sign-out processes.
  • Interacts with parents during drop-off and pick-up periods.
  • Organizes and prepares educational and other materials; stores and checks resources; organizes materials for students and teachers.
  • Enters information into various spreadsheets, forms, and records; follows instructions regarding the protection of personal information.
  • Keeps records for various aspects of the Think programs, such as attendance records.
  • Assists with payment portal management and program fee tracking, if applicable.
  • Coordinates the snack program, including ordering, checking in and inventorying food products, dispensing snacks, and keeping records.
  • Performs general office duties such as photocopying, faxing, and filing as needed.
  • Assists with room clean-up as needed or requested.
  • Serves as a positive role model for students and others affiliated with Think programs.
  • Supervises students and staff in the absence of the Site Coordinator.
  • Serves as frontline staff and Site Coordinator as needed.
  • Works on special projects assigned by the Site Coordinator.
  • Assists with coaching and training of staff and volunteers.
  • Maintains a friendly, supportive attitude when working with children and adults.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
