About the position

Kimley-Horn's Orlando office is seeking a Civil Engineer with over 4 years of experience to join their Land Development team. This role involves site development engineering and project management for residential and commercial projects, focusing on a variety of land development site designs. The position emphasizes strong technical skills, project coordination, and relationship building with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Conduct research and coordination for various land development site designs.
• Manage project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Prepare bid packages and technical specifications for projects.
• Assist in permitting for land disturbance and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and contractors on project execution.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design and permitting.
• Proficiency in hydrology modeling programs, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with task management and concept design.
• Ability to coordinate with clients and attend client meetings.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in building plan sets and construction documents.
• Design experience that includes utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence, and permitting.
