About the position

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer to support a growing, multi-disciplinary site development design group. The role involves performing various civil engineering functions, requiring flexibility, technological proficiency, and a client-focused approach. The Project Engineer will work on innovative and complex projects, collaborating with a talented team to deliver high-quality services to clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of civil engineering functions in support of site development design.
• Utilize AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Hydraulics Software, and Adobe Acrobat for technical work.
• Learn and become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices and standards.
• Prepare graphics, exhibits, site/civil construction plans, and specifications.
• Compose technical reports, permit documents, and other written communications.
• Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and review staff.
• Handle multiple concurrent projects and meet project and client deadlines.
• Support Practice Leads and Management in project execution.
• Maintain project budgets and timelines.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE (Professional Engineer) license is required.
• 5-10 years of progressive design experience in site/civil development projects in PA and/or NJ.
• Experience in Stormwater Management Design techniques.
• Working knowledge of NJ and/or PA land development permitting and approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Clean driving record is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Dewberry-specific software programs.
• Familiarity with technical report writing and permit documentation.
