About the position

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer to join its Land Development operation. This role involves working on civil design projects related to land development, including grading, storm water management, and roadway design. The position is open in various Maryland offices and requires collaboration with a growing team to deliver comprehensive land development services to clients.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and coordination of all Land Development design aspects.
• Work closely with Senior Project Manager and agency staff.
• Supervise internal junior staff.
• Client communication, budget oversight, and responsibility.
• Preparation and/or oversight of construction documents (plans and specifications) and technical reports.
• Conduct engineering analyses, cost estimates, and quality control/quality assurance to deliver quality design products.
• Monitor project milestones and completion dates as established by the Project Manager.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• EIT is required or eligible to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in land development project design and execution.
• Experience in the greater Baltimore and Washington DC metro area preferred.
• Strong technical capabilities in software applications including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong understanding of civil site design for various sectors including retail, commercial, and urban redevelopment.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D or other model-based software is desirable.
• Ability to deliver projects that meet technical requirements on time and within budget.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
