About the position

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer to join their team in Charlotte, NC. This role involves working on various site/civil design projects, including commercial and industrial site development, higher education, parks & recreation, and capital improvement projects. The engineer will collaborate with a diverse team to deliver high-quality services and solutions to clients, contributing to impactful community projects.

Responsibilities

• Site/civil development including grading design, utility design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
• Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permitting.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4-6 years of experience directly related to design and construction of land development and capital improvement projects.
• EIT required, PE Preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Water CAD, Storm CAD as well as Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
