About the position

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer to support a multi-disciplinary site development design group. The role involves performing various civil engineering functions, requiring flexibility, technological proficiency, and a client-focused approach. The Project Engineer will work on innovative projects and collaborate with a talented team, contributing to the firm's commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform general civil engineering duties and technical work related to site/civil development projects.
• Utilize AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Hydraulics Software, and Adobe Acrobat for project tasks.
• Learn and become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices and standards, as well as Dewberry-specific software programs.
• Prepare graphics, exhibits, site/civil construction plans, and specifications.
• Compose technical reports, permit documents, and other written communications.
• Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
• Handle multiple concurrent projects and meet project and client deadlines.
• Support Practice Leads and Management in project execution.
• Maintain a clean driving record as driving is a requirement of the position.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 5-10 years of progressive design experience in site/civil development projects in PA and/or NJ.
• Experience in Stormwater Management Design techniques.
• Working knowledge of NJ and/or PA land development permitting and approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation and communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with additional civil engineering software tools.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
