About the position

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Staff Engineer to join their team in Daphne, AL. This role involves performing various civil engineering functions to support the office's growth. The ideal candidate will be flexible, independent, technologically adept, and client-focused, contributing to innovative and complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil/site development including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, sanitary sewer design, water design, and erosion and sediment control design for various clients.
• Collaborate with a Professional Engineer to prepare drawing packages, deliverables, calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Work on design teams with other disciplines to achieve project goals and deadlines.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil3D, ICPR, ALDOT, MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam for technical work.
• Learn and become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices and standards, as well as other Dewberry-specific software programs.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification is required.
• 2-4 years of design experience related to site development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; Civil3D is preferable.
• Ability to work on teams and meet project deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for composing technical reports and other written communications.
