About the position

The Site Development Designer at Prein&Newhof will provide high-quality site and land development services, supporting Civil Engineers and Landscape Architects on infrastructure projects. This role involves planning, designing, and overseeing site development projects, ensuring effective communication with all project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and analyses.
• Create and format site layout plans utilizing AutoCAD.
• Create grading and pipe network plans utilizing AutoCAD.
• Perform Civil 3D earthwork calculations.
• Create Engineers' probable cost of construction spreadsheets with guidance from the Project Manager.
• Professionally communicate with all parties of the projects via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
• Other responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred) or relevant experience.
• 1-5 years of progressively responsible experience within the Construction, Design, or Landscape Architecture fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• AutoCAD experience is a must; Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to adapt and reorganize tasks to manage competing deadlines.
• Confident in asking for guidance and eager to enhance skill set.
