About the position

The Site Director at Discover After School is responsible for overseeing the Before & After School programs at Lovell Elementary School. This role involves ensuring compliance with program guidelines, supervising staff, and maintaining effective communication with school administration and parents. The Site Director will plan and organize educational and recreational activities for children, serving as a positive role model and ensuring the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the children are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to all students, families, co-workers, and school administration.
• Maintain accurate records pertaining to billing, attendance, staff/child health and safety.
• Supervise and train staff to ensure adequate supervision of children and effective implementation of scheduled activities.
• Meet the physical, emotional and educational needs of the children in their care.
• Work in a team environment, building and maintaining healthy, cooperative relationships.
• Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and educational standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, administration, and students.
• Model positive behavior and educate children in a manner which contributes to mature and responsible behavior.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience working with children.
• Six months' experience in a supervisory position.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Satisfactory Criminal Background Screening.
• Satisfactory Drug Screening.
• High School Diploma.
• Completion of 45 Hours of DCF Child Care Training.
• Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills in English is required.
