About the position

The Site Enablement Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of offshore wind power capacity to the US Northeastern grids. This position is a contract role covering a 6-month maternity leave, primarily based in Boston with hybrid work options. The officer will be responsible for maintaining and expanding network capabilities, ensuring high availability and minimal disruptions across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Set up network infrastructure in new locations, including configuring DHCP, DNS, and creating Visio diagrams.
• Maintain and update existing network setups, including life cycling old equipment and coordinating downtime with the business.
• Troubleshoot network issues directly with the business and coordinate with ISPs for outages.
• Participate in daily management and operational troubleshooting of network systems.
• Onboard new colleagues and share knowledge to facilitate their integration into the team.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of networking concepts including routing, switching, and wireless.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and access points.
• Expertise in cabling types (Cat6a, fiber types) and cable management.
• Proficiency in using tools like cable testers and WiFi scanners for troubleshooting.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Solarwinds, ITIL, and Azure DevOps.

• Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve uncommon issues resourcefully.
• Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
