About the position

Craig's Dirt Service is seeking a diligent Site Foreman to join their fast-paced and growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar role, and will thrive in a flexible, small-team environment. This position involves overseeing excavation and earthwork services, ensuring safety and adherence to project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review the project schedule and plan out manpower and equipment via 2-week lookahead schedules
• Study plans and specifications of each project
• Manage all aspects of the assigned job site including all crew and equipment
• Ensure that all work on site is done safely and according to plans and specs
• Keep jobs on schedule and within labor budgets
• Operate equipment (dozer, excavator, etc.) and complete labor work frequently
• Complete daily equipment safety inspections
• Write and submit daily reports at the end of each workday
• Approve all crewmember timesheets before they are turned in
• Other related tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year experience working as a construction Foreman, Superintendent, or similar role
• Minimum 5 years experience working in residential or commercial excavation
• Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment (dozer, excavator, etc.)
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Willingness and ability to work in outdoor environments and stay on feet for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary
