About the position

As the Site Head of DSP Operations at Millipore Corporation, you will play a crucial role in leading the manufacturing operations within the Aseptic pleated device value stream. Reporting directly to the Site Head of Operations, you will be an integral member of the senior leadership team, contributing to the strategic direction of the site. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations, which includes managing a workforce of over 350 production team members and ensuring the production of pharmaceutical filtration devices used in Virus and Aseptic applications. In this role, you will implement cutting-edge production, engineering quality, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) strategies to enhance operational efficiency. You will be tasked with building a highly functioning, engaged, and positive organizational culture that fosters learning and development. Your leadership will be essential in developing teams capable of solving complex problems and implementing sustainable corrective actions. Additionally, you will manage the budget with fiscal responsibility, ensuring that performance targets for safety, customer satisfaction, quality, productivity, environmental compliance, and financial results are met. You will also be responsible for developing talent through stretch assignments, coaching, rotations, and performance management. Executing a capital strategy to ensure supply reliability while meeting EHS and quality goals will be a key focus. Furthermore, you will ensure a strong partnership between operations and external business partners, while maintaining compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of manufacturing operations within the Aseptic pleated device value stream.

  • Ensure a strong partnership between operations and external business partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety and quality regulations.

Requirements

  • Degree in manufacturing technology, engineering, bio sciences or equivalent.
  • Eight plus years progressive experience within an FDA regulated industry manufacturing environment.
  • Clear understanding of SPC, JIT, TQM and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO, cGMP, EU MDR and other regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stay focused under pressure with strong pragmatic decision-making skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across organization, cultures and functions.
  • Strong risk management skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence within a matrix organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of quality principles, methods and Lean Six Sigma.
  • APICS certification, Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) a plus.
