About the position
Honeywell is seeking a Sr. HSE Engineer - Site HSE Leader to provide Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) support for its manufacturing facility in Fombell, PA. The role involves leading HSE activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, coaching employees on HSE issues, and driving continuous improvement in HSE culture and practices.
Responsibilities
- Implementation, monitoring and supporting HSE programs/policies to ensure compliance with applicable HS&E guidelines, regulations, permits and standards.
- Conduct HSE field assessments and audits.
- Assist in the development of HSE training for employees.
- Implement and monitor the company Behavior Based Safety Program.
- Drive continuous improvement throughout the site in support of Honeywell's Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
- Influence positive HSE behaviors and demonstrate hazard recognition to improve the Health, Safety, and Environmental culture.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years Health and Safety experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice-to-haves
- College Degree (Bachelor or Associates).
- HSE Certifications (CIH, RSO, CSP, CHMM, CET) highly desired.
- Strong Safety Background strongly preferred.
- 1+ years of manufacturing industry experience.
- Proven experience facilitating safety culture.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to organize data into meaningful information.
- Effective communicator.
- Comfortable dealing with conflict.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Comfortable intervening and coaching, when necessary.
- Ability & desire to implement change across multiple levels.
