About the position
The Site Lead for KEY Academy at Goddard USD265 is responsible for overseeing the quality and management of the site, ensuring compliance with safety, nutrition, and educational standards. This role involves planning and implementing lesson plans, managing staff, maintaining records, and fostering positive relationships with parents and the community. The Site Lead plays a crucial role in the development and well-being of children in the program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the quality and direction of the site operations.
- Implement safety, nutrition, hygiene, and scheduling protocols.
- Plan and supervise quality lesson plans according to KDHE and YMCA standards.
- Demonstrate and teach YMCA Character Development Values in weekly activities.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Communicate with parents regarding child absences and program updates.
- Supervise staff and ensure proper organization and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Conduct service activities and maintain good public relations with parents and school administrators.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and meet deadlines.
- Monitor and process staff time sheets and manage staff accountability.
Requirements
- 12 semester hours of academic study in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or Psychology.
- One year of experience in a related field to meet state licensing requirements.
- Ability to relate well to children, adults, and school administration.
- Leadership skills to ensure program continuity.
