About the position
The Site Leader position at Optum involves serving as a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician/Therapist, focusing on providing comprehensive mental health care to a diverse patient population. The role emphasizes the importance of forming strong provider-patient alliances, conducting psychiatric evaluations, and delivering various therapeutic interventions. The clinician will also play a vital role in training graduate students and maintaining accurate clinical documentation, all while contributing to a holistic approach to healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Form excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
- Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management
- Participate in enriching the training experience of our graduate students
- Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
- Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods
- Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
- Opportunities to represent the practice in community presentations and lectures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
- Clear, active and unrestricted license (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LPC) in the state of practice
Nice-to-haves
- 2+ years of professional social work / clinical experience post Master's degree
- Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
- Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness
