About the position

As a Site Manager at Dyno Nobel, you will plan, lead, and control the site operations as established in procedures and guidelines set by the company. Your responsibilities will encompass various areas including people, equipment, material and environmental safety, cost performance, asset utilization, and customer product and service delivery. You will be expected to achieve Operational Excellence through focused management and measured performance, ensuring compliance with applicable HSEQ Performance Standards and the site security program. In the event of a safety-related incident, you will be responsive and implement corrective actions with urgency. You will also be responsible for maintaining site expenditure and assets to achieve financial targets, ensuring the delivery of products and services, and managing site operating expenditure to beat the current year's budget. This position will require regular travel across Georgia and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve Operational Excellence through focused management and measured performance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSEQ Performance Standards and site security program.
  • Proactively work to achieve compliance with safety systems.
  • Respond to safety-related incidents and implement corrective actions with urgency.
  • Respect the rights of others and help create a discrimination and harassment-free workplace.
  • Maintain site expenditure and assets to achieve financial targets.
  • Ensure delivery of products and services.
  • Communicate information that may impact Dyno Nobel's business and operations.
  • Manage site operating expenditure to beat current year's budget.
  • Contribute to achieving budgeted customer profitability as measured by EBIT, EBITA, and EBITDA.
  • Manage maintenance systems for all company assets to minimum company standards.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement initiatives to reduce overall cost of doing business.
  • Eliminate all forms of waste from site operations.
  • Identify and recommend Continuous Improvement projects with financial benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; additional directly related work experience may substitute for some educational requirements.
  • 5+ years working experience with progressively increasing professional or technical responsibility.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role within a relevant industry.
  • People management skills including leadership, performance management, and coaching.
  • Experience with manufacture of emulsion matrix, bulk truck delivery, and on-bench blasting operations.
  • Experience with safety, environment, quality, maintenance, and training systems.
  • Strong understanding of compliance with OSHA, ATF, DOT, EPA, and local regulations.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
