About the position

JSM Airport Services, LLC, a subsidiary of JSM & Associates, LLC, is seeking a professional and skilled individual for the Site Manager position at the Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) in Palm Beach, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the business, customer service, and financial aspects of the site. This role requires a proactive approach to managing operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to quality standards. The Site Manager will establish priorities and goals that align with the company's vision and strategic objectives, manage customer contracts, and conduct regular relationship meetings to assess customer satisfaction and potential for future work. In addition to managing customer relationships, the Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day operational and administrative activities of the site. This includes hiring and recruitment, personnel relations, training and career development of staff, performance evaluations, and maintaining staff morale. The Site Manager will also be responsible for adhering to company training programs and applicable safety regulations, including OSHA standards. Financial responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of the annual budget, reviewing financial reports, and managing accounts receivables and payables. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, as the airport operates 24/7. The work week will consist of 40 hours, with shifts scheduled from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to potential changes in shift assignments and will be expected to work on holidays that fall on scheduled workdays. Additionally, candidates must pass a drug screening, driver's license check, federal fingerprinting, and security threat assessment to obtain airport security badging.

Responsibilities

  • Establish priorities and goals to support the company's vision and strategic objectives.
  • Manage customer contracts and ensure adherence to requirements.
  • Conduct regular relationship meetings with customers to ensure satisfaction and quality standards.
  • Assess potential for future work and sales opportunities.
  • Manage day-to-day operational and administrative activities of the site.
  • Oversee hiring and recruitment processes.
  • Facilitate personnel relations and training/career development of staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Maintain staff morale and motivation through effective communication and meetings.
  • Adhere to company training programs and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for the site.
  • Review financial reports, including accounts receivables and payables.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a 4-year college degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) operation & maintenance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Supervisory experience in a service industry or airport environment.
  • Project Management or Organizational Development experience.
  • Possess OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
