About the position

The Occupational Health Nurse will provide comprehensive health and wellness services to employees at the Box Elder plant, focusing on promoting, maintaining, and restoring their physical and psycho-social well-being. This role involves collaboration with team members to address health and safety needs, manage occupational health plans, and deliver nursing care for workplace injuries and illnesses.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the care of ill and injured workers, including return to work assessment and fit for duty evaluation.
  • Engage with site and regional medical resources to support clinical activities related to COVID-19, including following medical triage protocols and conducting virtual screenings.
  • Partner with HR on Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and American Disabilities Act (ADA) Interactive Process for site employees.
  • Conduct new hire post-offer health questionnaire review, physicals, and medical clearance.
  • Work with third party vendors to facilitate health services programs and resources based on business needs.
  • Develop, interpret, and administer medical testing programs such as Hearing Tests and Respirator Physicals.
  • Ensure compliance with health aspects and medical testing requirements of TSCA, SARA, OSHA, NIOSH, and P&G Medical and Industrial Health & Safety standards.
  • Maintain current knowledge of site risks/hazards and participate in reviews and overall risk assessments.
  • Provide Health Coaching to optimize employee health and well-being through screening tests, counseling, and follow-up.
  • Promote wellness programs offered by the company and recommended by the site.

Requirements

  • Associate Nursing Degree or higher; B.S. Nursing Degree preferred.
  • An unencumbered nursing license and the ability to obtain a Missouri nursing license.
  • Occupational Health, Employee Health, or Emergency Department experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • COHN or COHN-S certification.
  • NIOSH approved Spirometry and CAOHC approved Audiometry certification.
  • Adult CPR/AED certification and Instructor knowledge of State and Federal Laws and Regulations.

Benefits

  • Full-time employment with a competitive salary range of $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year.
