About the position

The Site Procurement and Material Control Manager at CF Industries is responsible for leading the procurement and materials control team at the Donaldsonville, Louisiana site. This role involves supporting the strategic direction of the procurement function, optimizing supplier relationships, and implementing best practices to enhance procurement processes. The manager will work closely with site leadership to align procurement strategies with business goals, ensuring efficiency and accountability in procurement operations.

Responsibilities

• Leads the site-based procurement team to achieve long-term and annual procurement goals.
• Serves as the owner of the procurement process at the site, transforming procurement processes and increasing accountability.
• Participates in long-term strategic planning and annual goal setting, focusing on cost, safety, risk, and reliability.
• Drives improvements in turnaround and capital project planning, contracting, and execution.
• Creates a collaborative procurement and materials control culture through effective communication and governance.
• Integrates knowledge of industry trends and competitor products into procurement operations for competitive advantage.
• Manages capability improvement of procurement and material control team members to enhance business results.
• Reports quarterly on the efficiency of procurement and material control functions using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Participates in site leadership meetings and supports initiatives around safety and community engagement.
• Leads sourcing strategies to increase productivity, improve supplier performance, and reduce costs.
• Drives standardization and optimization in procurement strategies and supplier management processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience in an industrial environment, particularly in chemical manufacturing and major capital projects.
• Certification in procurement or supply management is desirable.
• Knowledge of SAP, Ariba, and other procurement systems.
