About the position

The Site Quality Operations Manager at Air Liquide Advanced Materials is responsible for leading the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) organization within a fast-paced environment. This role involves mentoring the quality team, implementing internal processes to meet quality requirements, managing production control limits, and ensuring compliance with ISO certification audits. The manager will also drive continuous improvement initiatives and support new product commercialization efforts, contributing significantly to the company's diverse portfolio of products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the QA/QC organization and mentor the quality team.
  • Implement and deploy internal processes and documentation to meet quality requirements.
  • Manage, track, and report on quality progress and performance metrics.
  • Oversee contracted metrology support for performance and method development.
  • Prepare and present customer-facing documentation related to product quality and ISO audits.
  • Provide technical support for quality incidents in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Develop and manage staff goals and site/product quality performance metrics.
  • Lead investigations, corrective actions, and quality training initiatives.
  • Manage data and approve materials for shipment to customers.
  • Conduct SPC/SQC reviews and develop action plans.
  • Lead FMEAs and recommend solutions to quality-related problems.
  • Drive supplier development and six sigma projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, preferably Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, or equivalent experience (6+ years).
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a quality-related function.
  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Management fundamentals including FMEA, SPC, and statistical data analysis.
  • Experience with GC, FTIR, and other online analyzer equipment.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques for trace impurities in chemicals or pharmaceuticals.
  • Familiarity with SAP and LIMS system functionality.
  • Proficient in FMEAs and SPC control methodologies.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).

Nice-to-haves

  • More than 5 years of semiconductor or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • ASQ Certification for auditing ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Six sigma green belt certification or higher.
  • Knowledge of the 8D process.
  • Laboratory experience.
  • Experience using SAP and LIMS software.
