About the position

As a Site Reliability Administrator at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the resilience and efficiency of systems that support national security. Your responsibilities will include building robust infrastructure, implementing monitoring tools, and automating processes to reduce manual tasks. This position offers an opportunity to advance your skills in cloud technologies while contributing to the mission of protecting national security.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux server systems.
  • Design, develop, deploy, or test applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain systems while isolating and resolving problems.
  • Provide systems and account administration consistent with system requirements.
  • Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Automate routine tasks and self-repair processes.

Requirements

  • Experience with deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux server systems.
  • Experience with AWS tools including EC2, S3, ELBs, RDS, VPCs, security groups, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or IAM permissions.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Ability to support shift work.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • HS diploma or GED with 7+ years of IT experience, Associate's degree with 5+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of IT experience.
  • Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with network devices, including firewall administration.
  • Knowledge of trouble ticketing systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of government security practices and policies.
  • Ability to navigate problems quickly and route issues to proper priority.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.
