About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) position at a well-known Ecommerce shop in Sandy Springs, GA, focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of applications in Azure cloud environments. The role involves proactive monitoring and automation of infrastructure to prepare for high traffic during the holiday season. The SRE will collaborate with engineering teams to build application performance monitoring and create proofs of concept (POC) for development, contributing to a healthy application ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor product performance to ensure readiness for successful launches during peak holiday seasons.
• Automate Azure infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency.
• Build application performance monitoring using DataDog.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to create proofs of concept (POC) for development environments.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Assist in automating and monitoring website productivity.

Requirements

• 6 or more years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer.
• Proven experience working in Azure cloud environments to scale applications.
• Strong experience with DataDog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Leadership experience in creating POC for development environments.
• Demonstrated ability to automate and monitor website productivity.

Nice-to-haves

• BS in Computer Science or similar educational background.
• Strong development background with .NET/React.
• Previous experience monitoring Ecommerce applications.
• Azure Solutions Architect certification.
