About the position

Anduril Industries is seeking a JADC2 Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Mission Integration team. This role is pivotal in installing, connecting, and maintaining Anduril's software to deliver mission-critical capabilities to our customers. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our advanced technology systems operate effectively in complex high-side environments. You will work closely with product engineering and deployed operations, taking extreme ownership of all dependencies to guarantee total mission success across various environments. In this position, you will collaborate with a product development team, leveraging your operations and engineering experience to shape and deploy solutions that maximize effectiveness and reliability. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including sophisticated configuration of environments, reliability engineering, deployment at scale, incident triage, root-cause analysis, software tooling improvements, pre-deployment testing, workflow automation, and the development of acceptance test procedures. You will also play a crucial role in customer demonstrations, events, and early deployments, using the insights gained to inform your mission integration engineering efforts and train others on product deployment and operation. As a member of the Mission Deployment Engineering team, you will become deeply familiar with Lattice's capabilities as a data and applications platform, supporting end-to-end customer success. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that Anduril's growing suite of capabilities meets the highest standards of reliability and performance in all operational contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Install, connect, and maintain Anduril's software for mission-critical capabilities.
  • Prepare, execute, and support software installations in complex high-side environments.
  • Collaborate with product engineering and deployed operations to ensure mission success.
  • Engage in sophisticated configuration of environments and reliability engineering.
  • Conduct deployment at scale and perform incident triage and root-cause analysis.
  • Improve software tooling and user experience, and conduct pre-deployment testing and configuration.
  • Automate workflows and develop acceptance test procedures.
  • Participate in customer demonstrations, events, and early deployments of the product.
  • Train peers or customers on the operation of the product.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on technical experience in field operations and systems administration.
  • Experience working within Linux-based operating systems.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability in unstructured situations involving hardware, software, and operations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and external customers.
  • Ability to perform data-driven root cause analysis on complex systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to train peers or customers on product operation.
  • Must hold an active US TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification.
  • Experience installing, sustaining, and troubleshooting data systems for DoD or sensitive customers.
  • Familiarity with DoD-managed network enclaves (NIPR, SIPR, etc.).
  • Experience with Typescript/React, Go, Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Military service background.
