About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Anduril Industries is responsible for installing, connecting, and maintaining software to deliver mission-critical capabilities in high-side environments. This role serves as a bridge between product engineering and deployed operations, ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of Anduril's advanced technology solutions. The SRE will engage in various tasks including deployment, incident management, and customer demonstrations, contributing to the overall mission success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Install, connect, and maintain Anduril's software in complex high-side environments.
  • Prepare, execute, and support software installations as part of Deployment Ops.
  • Work alongside product development teams to shape and deploy effective solutions.
  • Engage in sophisticated configuration of the environment and reliability engineering.
  • Conduct incident triage and root-cause analysis for system issues.
  • Improve software tooling and user experience based on operational feedback.
  • Perform pre-deployment testing and configuration to ensure readiness.
  • Automate workflows and develop acceptance test procedures.
  • Participate in customer demonstrations and early deployments to gather insights for mission integration.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on technical experience in field operations and systems administration.
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems.
  • Ability to solve problems in unstructured situations involving hardware, software, and operations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and external customers.
  • Proven ability to perform data-driven root cause analysis on complex systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to train peers or customers on product operation.
  • Must hold an active US TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification.
  • Experience with data systems for DoD or sensitive customers.
  • Familiarity with DoD-managed network enclaves (NIPR, SIPR, etc.).
  • Experience with Typescript/React, Go, Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Military service background.
