About the position

The Splunktern Program offers an internship opportunity for students pursuing degrees in technical fields such as Computer Science or Engineering. Interns will engage in hands-on development work, contributing to the next generation of Splunk's large-scale cloud offerings while working closely with experienced mentors. This role emphasizes collaboration, learning, and the application of technical skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building the next generation of Splunk's large scale cloud offering.
• Participate in agile development of project timelines and implementation design specifications.
• Create system flow diagrams and documentation for ongoing support of systems.
• Engage in testing and support of systems under the supervision of a mentor with weekly check-ins.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Bachelors or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field.
• Strong record of academic achievement.
• At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship.
• Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or public cloud platforms.
• Experience with container deployment and orchestration technologies.
• Understanding of Systems programming and networking concepts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
